A knock-down rebuild touches the electricity supply at least three times: disconnection before demolition, temporary builders power during construction, and the permanent connection of the new home. Stage 1 — Disconnect Before Demolition

We assess the existing supply — overhead or underground — then complete the demolition power disconnection: meter removal via your retailer, physical disconnection at the network, and removal of the service mains and point of attachment. Because the lot is being rebuilt, we structure the disconnection so reconnection stays straightforward, and we give your demolisher the written electrical clearance they need to start.

Stage 2 — Temporary Builders Power

Most builders want power on site from day one of construction. We install a temporary builders pole or meter box, arrange the metering, and connect it to the network — single-phase or three-phase depending on the build. Stage 3 — Connect the New Home

As the build finishes we complete the permanent works: new consumer mains, switchboard connection, new property connection to the network, and smart metering. Many new builds also switch from overhead to underground supply at this stage — we'll advise what the network requires for your street. The temporary supply is then removed and the account transitions to the new meter.
