Private Pole Installation

Installing a new private power pole is a core Level 2 ASP service. Sydney Power Group (SPG) supplies and installs compliant private poles across Greater Sydney for new builds, rural properties, sheds, granny flats and relocated supply points.

A private pole carries the service line from the network to your property and is your responsibility to maintain. Every install meets AS/NZS 3000 and the Service & Installation Rules of NSW and is coordinated with Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy or Essential Energy.

When A New Pole Is Required

A new private pole is needed when the supply point moves, when a shed or second dwelling needs its own service, or when the span from the network requires an intermediate pole. SPG assesses span lengths, ground clearances and attachment points to specify the correct pole.

The pole works alongside the service mains and the point of attachment to deliver a safe, compliant supply.

Compliant Installation

We install the power pole to the required depth and class, fit the service fuse and attachment hardware, and provide for metering where needed. For a full new supply, this pairs with our new property connections service.

Existing poles that need attention are covered by private pole inspection and replacement.
