Choosing the right charger

Most homes suit a 7kW single-phase charger, which adds plenty of range overnight. If you have (or can upgrade to) three-phase supply and want faster charging, a 22kW three-phase unit is an option. We match the charger to your vehicle, driving pattern and switchboard capacity.

We install a wide range of brands, including Tesla and BYD chargers, and can advise on smart features like scheduling and app control.

Done safely on a dedicated circuit

EV chargers draw significant current for long periods, so they belong on their own dedicated circuit with appropriate cabling, isolation and RCD protection (Type B or equivalent where the charger requires it). We never piggyback a charger onto an existing general circuit.

Where multiple loads or chargers are involved, load management balances demand so you don't trip the main or need an unnecessarily large supply.

Supply upgrades when you need them

If your switchboard or supply can't support a fast charger, our Level 2 team can carry out a supply upgrade or switchboard upgrade — including three-phase — as part of the job.
