Single Phase Upgrades

Increasing your single-phase supply capacity is a core Level 2 ASP task. Sydney Power Group (SPG) upgrades consumer mains and service protection so your single-phase supply can safely carry added loads — additional circuits, air conditioning or a home renovation — across Greater Sydney.

Because the works involve the service mains, consumer mains and network connection, an Accredited Service Provider is legally required. All upgrades comply with AS/NZS 3000 and the Service & Installation Rules of NSW.

Do You Need More Capacity?

Nuisance tripping, warm cabling, or an inability to run modern appliances often signals undersized consumer mains or an inadequate service fuse. A single-phase upgrade replaces the consumer mains and coordinates a correctly rated service fuse with the network.

If your demand is very high, we may recommend a three phase upgrade instead for better load balancing.

Correctly Rated Service Protection

The service protection device must match the upgraded mains and the network's supply arrangement. SPG assesses cable size, run length and voltage drop to specify a compliant, future-proof solution.

Upgrades often pair with switchboard modernisation, adding RCDs and safety switches where they are missing.
