Point of Supply Alterations

The point of supply (and the point of attachment for overhead services) is where the network's supply meets your installation. Altering it is strictly Level 2 ASP work. Sydney Power Group (SPG) relocates and reconfigures the point of supply across Greater Sydney for renovations, new structures and compliance rectification.

Because these alterations occur on the network side of the boundary, an Accredited Service Provider is legally required and works must comply with AS/NZS 3000 and the Service & Installation Rules of NSW.

When The Point Of Supply Changes

Building works, new driveways, second dwellings and switchboard moves can all require the point of supply to be relocated. For overhead services this means altering the point of attachment; for underground it involves the connection pit or pillar.

SPG assesses clearances, span lengths and the consumer mains route to plan a compliant alteration.

Overhead & Underground Arrangements

For overhead supplies we relocate the attachment and, where needed, adjust the service line or supporting pole. For underground supplies we reconfigure the connection at the pillar box or pit and re-route the mains.

Point-of-supply changes often accompany switchboard relocations or new property connections.

Coordinated & Certified

SPG manages the network connection and the disconnection/reconnection, then certifies the completed works.
