ENDEAVOUR PRIVATE POWER POLE

A private power pole is a pole on your property that carries the Endeavour Energy service to your home or between buildings — and unlike Endeavour's own poles, it is your responsibility to maintain. Sydney Power Group is an Endeavour Energy authorised Level 2 ASP that installs, inspects, repairs and replaces private poles right across the network. Private poles are especially common on the large semi-rural blocks of the Hawkesbury, Camden and the Southern Highlands, where long service runs cross the property.

Is the Pole Yours or Endeavour's?

Endeavour Energy owns the poles in the street; the pole (or poles) between the network connection point and your dwelling are usually privately owned by you. That means maintenance, repair and replacement are your responsibility — and must be carried out by a Level 2 ASP. Buyers of semi-rural blocks around the Hawkesbury and Camden are often surprised to inherit two or three private poles along a long driveway.
