The meter box is the enclosure that houses your meter and main switch — and if it is old, damaged, timber, or too small for modern metering, it needs upgrading before a new meter can be fitted. Sydney Power Group is an Endeavour Energy authorised Level 2 ASP upgrading meter boxes and enclosures across the Endeavour network.

When an Enclosure Has to Go

Many older Endeavour-area homes still have timber or undersized meter boxes that no longer meet standards or cannot fit a smart meter. Cracked, sun-perished or fire-risk enclosures are a real concern in the harsh Western Sydney climate and are a frequent trigger for an Endeavour defect notice. We replace them with compliant, weather-rated enclosures sized for future metering.

Rarely a Standalone Job

A meter box upgrade usually goes hand in hand with a meter upgrade, switchboard work, or a three-phase supply upgrade. Coordinating them in one Endeavour isolation window avoids repeat disconnections and reconnection fees, and gets you a compliant, future-proof metering position.

Moving the Box While You're At It

An Enclosure Upgrade Needs an ASP
