Push-button vs operating-time testing

The push-button test only proves the mechanism moves; it doesn't tell you how fast the device trips or whether it responds to the small leakage currents that endanger people. Operating-time testing uses an instrument to inject a fault current and measure the actual trip time in milliseconds.

Both matter. Push-button checks are done frequently by the occupier, while instrument-based operating-time testing is carried out by us on a scheduled interval to confirm ongoing performance.
