Why the Point of Attachment Fails

Older Ausgrid-area homes often have attachments that have worked loose from settling brickwork, started to surface-rust, or shifted after a storm without failing outright. Salt air in the Eastern Suburbs and Northern Beaches accelerates corrosion. A loosening attachment is a frequent cause of Ausgrid defect notices because a slackening service line is a serious safety hazard — and caught early it can usually be repaired rather than rebuilt.

Repairs We Make Good

Where the bracket, mount and the fascia, gable or masonry behind it are still sound, we re-secure and re-clamp the fitting, re-tension the overhead service mains and re-terminate the service conductors so the connection is tight and compliant again. If the assessment shows the fixing is corroded through, pulled apart or no longer has anything solid to hold it, that is a full point of attachment replacement rather than a repair.
